The building takes the form of a 29-nave, single-storey hall of regular rectangular shape, with external axial dimensions of 652.5m x 168.0m. The steel roof structure is made up of 22.5m truss purlins supported on 12m and 24m span beams. The complex also includes a two-storey office building measuring 22.50m x 84.00m – for which the roof is a separate structure to the hall roof.
